About the Maple Academy
The Maple Academy of Irish Dance is directed by Bill Maple, ADCRG and Marnie O'Callaghan-Maple ADCRG. Bill, the 1982 North American Senior Men's Champion and World Championship step dancer, and Marnie, also a World Championship dancer, are accreditedteachers of Irish dancing with An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha, in Ireland. Bill and Marnie are both certified adjudicators of Irish Dancing (ADCRG).
Dancers from the Maple Academy have competed successfully nationally and internationally. The school was honored to perform at the White House for US President Bush and Irish Prime Minister, Bertie Ahearn. Clips appeared on local news stations and on CNN internationally. . The Maple Academy has also had the honor to perform at the White House a second time for President Obama. Our students have performed at the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian, National Geographic, Wolf Trap, on Fox 5 Morning News, and at various cultural festivals.
Maple Academy Dancers have also appeared in the Celtic theatrical performance presented at the Lisner Auditorium with the Washington Revels and the Trinity Irish Dance Company. Many of or students have continued their dance performing worldwide in shows such as Lord of The DANCE, Feet of Flames, Raglan Road in Disney, Busch Gardens to name a few.
They have danced at a number of charitable organizations including The N.I.H. Children's Inn and local area nursing homes. Other credits include "Best Irish Dance School" at the Washington, D.C. St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Bill and Marnie are both fully vetted to work with children through An Coimisiun le Since Gaelacha (CLRG) and SafeSport trained and certified.
